Orange Crispy Burger

Want to up the ante on your next burger patty meal? Try the meaty component with a pleasing crunch and the most delectable semi-sweet orange glaze. This Orange Crispy Burger is the ideal lunch or supper item to serve when you’re craving something with a sweet flavor.

It’s also not too difficult to create, as you’ll mostly be dealing with two different steps: precisely frying your burger patties and whisking up the delectable orange glaze. And because it’s so simple, you can make it for meal prep or packed lunches. It won’t take much time out of your day, and you’ll finish up with a delicious, crispy dish that will keep you going for the rest of the day!

What does an orange crispy burger taste like?

There’s a reason why soy-garlic chicken and sweet and sour fish work so well. The most satisfying contrast is achieved by combining a crunchy ingredient—usually a protein, such as meat—with a slightly sweet sauce. You can anticipate same dynamics to be present in this Orange Crispy Burger as well!

The first thing your taste senses will notice is a gently tangy and sweet coating. All of that taste, which comes from ingredients like white vinegar, red pepper flakes, and orange juice, permeates into the crunchy burger patties as well. The salty, savory burger is also essential to the success of this recipe. And because we’re serving it with rice, you should feel rather satisfied after this lunch. But don’t be afraid to make more than one patty for yourself since you could wind up wanting more!

How to Make Orange Crispy Burger

1. Frying the burger patties

  • Heating some oil: Pour 2 tablespoons of cooking oil into a pan and apply some heat.
  • Adding the patties: Once the pan is hot, you can toss in 3 CDO Crispy Burger patties. Then just fry these over medium heat. Make sure to flip the patty onto the other side once one is already cooked and crispy. Set this aside for now, as it is time to work on our glaze!

2. Creating the orange glaze

  • Heating oil in another pan: We will place some cooking oil in a pan and heat this as we did earlier.
  • Incorporating garlic, ginger, and sugar: Now we can add 3 cloves of garlic and ½ teaspoon of ginger, both of which are minced. Sauté these together. After that, you can sprinkle in 3 tablespoons of sugar. Wait for the sugar to melt before proceeding to the next step.
  • Adding some more flavor: We will move on to our liquid ingredients. You will need to incorporate some sesame oil, orange juice, soy sauce, and white vinegar. Then just let this boil. When it is boiling, you can put the red pepper flakes inside. Continue cooking everything for 1 minute.
  • Making the sauce thick – We will mix water and cornstarch in a bowl until it is perfectly blended. Now just put that in your pan, and stir the entire mixture. We will keep the stirring going until the sauce is thick enough.

3. Assembling the dish

  • Plating the Orange Crispy Burger—we’re nearly there! Just put your cooked CDO Crispy Burger on a serving plate of choice, and make sure to arrange this nicely. Add a cup of rice on the side. Then just drizzle the orange glaze we made over all 3 patties. Finish things off by adding a garnish of 2 tablespoons of chopped green onions.

And there you have it! Wasn’t that fun and easy? There are plenty more simple and delicious recipes to try out here on Panlasang Pinoy! Let me introduce you to a couple.
