Restaurants and bars celebrate the holidays with special deals and pop-ups.

The holiday season has arrived in San Antonio, and some pubs and eateries are getting into the spirit. 

Pop-up bars and special promotions designed to capitalize on the season draw enormous audiences.  

One of these eateries is downtown's Bohanan's Prime Steaks and Seafood

which is adding new holiday dishes to its menu and has already experienced an increase in business, according to owner Mark Bohanan.

While the rise in revenue is appealing, Taylor Colins, Department Chair of Economics and Management at the University of the Incarnate Word

warns that there is a risk if businesses desire to follow their business plan all year.

He explained that, while individuals normally spend more money at this time of year, the same cannot be expected for the remaining months.

Pop-up bars are not a new concept; in fact, this trend can be observed across the country for establishments looking to capitalize on the holidays.

 Elsewhere Garden Bar & Kitchen owner Terrin Fuhrmann in San Antonio 

 claimed he modeled the bar's pop-up after observing similar concepts in locations such as Chicago.
